In 1920, Mr. Labhu Ram Astir, along with his son Mr. Kahan Chand Astir, started importing laces, balloons and fabrics from Italy with the intent of supplying them all over India. The business was set up in the pious city of Amritsar. With the sudden demise of Mr. Kahan Chand Astir at a very early age, his three sons joined hands with their grandfather, with Mr. Trilok Chand Astir being a major force, to build the empire of Astirlaces.
In 1959, the original company started launching its product through imported machines, especially from Japan, with its new setup in Delhi. With offices in cities like Amritsar, Delhi and Mumbai, they developed a nationwide customer base. With hard work and commitment, from being among the oldest manufacturers, exporters and dealers of laces and allied items in India, they gradually became leaders in the lace industry.
To carry forward the ancestral legacy, in 2003 Mr. Pawan Kumar Astir, son of Late Shri Tirlok Chand Astir, set up P.K. Astir & Co. in Delhi. Mr. P.K. Astir, well versed with technical, manufacturing and marketing skills for more than 35 years, established the company with full support of his family and subordinates. His hard work, passion, commitment and principles have been the pillars of this stable and successful organization.
